Idaho should be governed by its citizens. Not Washington bureaucrats, national political machines, outside interests, or those who profit when our laws are ignored.
Sovereignty means Idahoans set the rules, public policy serves their communities, and the laws they enact are actually enforced.
WHAT IDAHO SOVEREIGNTY MEANS
Idaho sovereignty means preserving the constitutional authority, local control, and political independence that allow Idahoans to govern themselves according to the values of their own communities.
Washington should exercise only the powers granted to it by the Constitution. Idaho should resist federal mandates that exceed those limits.
LIMITED FEDERAL POWER
Decisions should be made as close to the people as possible by Idaho voters, communities, counties, and state lawmakers accountable to them.
LOCAL CONTROL
Idaho policy should not be dictated by national organizations, billionaire-funded campaigns, or outside interests seeking to use the state as another political battleground.
POLITICAL INDEPENDENCE
Idahoans should remain free to preserve the institutions, traditions, and way of life that make the state distinct.

Protect secure, transparent elections and keep Idaho’s election system accountable to Idaho voters.

The point of federalism is not for fifty states to slowly become politically and culturally identical. It is to preserve the freedom of states and their citizens to govern differently.
